Bulgaria recorded the highest annual increase in industrial producer prices among EU Member States for the fifth month in a row in June 2025, Eurostat data and BTA calculations showed Tuesday. In comparison, May's annual growth was 0.3%. Dow Jones economists, cited by Reuters, had forecasted increases of 0.7% monthly and 0.5% annually.
For the EU as a whole, producer prices rose by 0.7% compared to May and 0.6% year-on-year.
Among eurozone countries, the highest annual increases in industrial producer prices were recorded in Greece (5.0%) and Italy (3.9%), while the sharpest declines were seen in Estonia (-5.2%), Lithuania (-2.9%), and Portugal (-2.8%).
