In April 2025, the production index in the Construction sector decreased by 0.7% compared to the previous month, while calendar-adjusted data show a 7% increase in construction output compared to the same month in 2024, according to preliminary and seasonally adjusted data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI), published on Tuesday.

A report by the NSI indicated that in April 2024, the production index in the sector decreased by 0.7% compared to the previous month, while a 2.8% increase in construction output was reported compared to the same month in 2023.

Monthly changes

In April 2025, a 1.9% decrease was observed compared to the previous month in the construction of facilities, as well by 1.1% in specialized construction activities. A 0.6 % increase was recorded in the output from the construction of buildings.

Annual changes

In April 2025, compared to the same month in 2024, a growth of 10.8% was registered in specialized construction activities, 8.1% in the construction of facilities and 3.1% in the output from the construction of buildings.
