A renovated building at the Malina ski centre in Pamporovo opened to visitors, the resort operator said on Thursday. Guests can also use a new VIP ski cloakroom offering top-of-the-range ski and snowboard equipment.

From Wednesday, visitors to the resort have also been able to buy new packages that include group lessons at the ski school and full ski equipment. The packages are offered by Pamporovo’s ski school and are aimed at both beginners and advanced skiers.

The Stoykite run (No. 12) is now open for skiers and snowboarders. The resort expects runs No. 4a, No. 5 and No. 5a to open from Friday. If the weather allows, one of the resort’s signature runs, Stenata (The Wall) (No. 2), should also open by January 4, 2026.

Work on the rest of the ski area continues, and the runs will open in stages depending on snow and weather conditions.

The ski season in Pamporovo got off to a strong start despite difficulties linked to a lack of natural snow and high temperatures in December, which prevented timely production of artificial snow, Pamporovo Executive Director Stefan Prisadov told Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) in an interview on December 30, 2025.
