site.btaJob Vacancies Fall in EU in Q3 2025, Bulgaria among Member States with Lowest Rate
The job vacancy rate in the European Union was 2% in the third quarter of 2025, dropping from 2.1% in the second quarter and down from 2.3% in the third quarter of 2024, according to data released by Eurostat on Tuesday. The lowest rates were observed in Romania (0.6%), Bulgaria and Poland (both 0.8%).
In Bulgaria, the job vacancy rate was 0.9% in the second quarter of 2025, compared with 0.8% in the third quarter of 2024. In the reporting quarter, vacancy rates by sector were 0.7% in industry and construction and 0.9% in services. Both figures were unchanged from the previous quarter but showed a slight increase compared with the same period last year, when they stood at 0.6% and 0.7%, respectively.
Among the EU Member States, the highest job vacancy rates in the third quarter of 2025 were recorded in the Netherlands (4.1%) and Belgium (3.8%).
