The Employment Agency reported stable labour market performance in November, with registered unemployment remaining at a low level of 5.14%, the Agency's press centre said on Monday. This marks a decrease of 0.02 percentage points compared to the same month last year. A total of 145,818 people were registered as unemployed nationwide at the end of November.

Through active mediation by employment offices, 13,086 unemployed individuals started work during the month. One thousand employed persons, students, and pensioners received support in changing or developing their professional careers. This brings the total number of people who found employment in November to 14,086.

Special focus was placed on economically inactive persons. During the reporting period, more than 4,120 people were motivated to take their first steps toward entering the labour market. This outcome was achieved through the targeted work of employment office teams, as well as Roma and youth mediators across the country.

In November, 3,229 people from vulnerable groups entered employment through subsidized programmes. These included people with disabilities, young people without professional experience, individuals over the age of 55, and the long-term unemployed. Of these, 1,170 participants were included in projects financed under the Human Resources Development Programme (2021–2027), co-funded by the European Social Fund Plus.

The Employment Agency continued its consistent investment in improving workforce skills and adaptability. During the month, more than 8,400 training vouchers were issued to both unemployed and employed individuals. This tool aims to support the acquisition of new skills and help meet the demands of a modern economy shaped by accelerated digitization and technological change.

Businesses reported 6,146 job vacancies on the primary labour market in November. The largest share was in manufacturing (23.3%), followed by public administration (15.6%), trade and car repair (12.6%), education (12.1%), hotels and restaurants (4.9%), and human health and social work activities (4.1%).

The most sought-after occupations during the month included personal care workers; sales staff; machine and equipment operators; workers in mining, manufacturing, construction, and transportation; personal service workers; teachers; business and administrative professionals; drivers of motor vehicles and mobile equipment; waste collection workers; employees in food, clothing, and wood product manufacturing; metalworkers, machine builders, and craftsmen; and cleaners and assistants, among others.

The unemployment rate is calculated as the share of registered unemployed persons in the economically active population aged 15–64, as defined by the 2021 census.
