Stilian Dichev will present his fifth solo exhibition at the Nuance Gallery in Sofia. "Neo-Romanticism or Brutalism" will be on from October 7 to 19, the Gallery said.

The exhibition explores the tension between dreams and harsh reality, and between lost romance and the brutalism of the modern world. "It traces the transition between two opposing states of mind and thought, combining abstract form with profound reflections on humanity’s place in the technological age", Nuance Gallery explains.

Stilian Dichev was born in Sofia in 1964. He graduated from the Nikolay Pavlovich National Academy of Arts, majoring in mural painting. In the mid-1990s, he experimented with interior design, creating unique furniture. In 1996, he founded the interior and furniture design studio Forma S, which manufactured furniture based on his own designs. He currently works in contemporary interior design, fine arts and architectural design.
