site.btaBooks Open Windows to the World, Says Culture Minister at Sofia Book Alley Opening

Culture Minister Marian Bachev inaugurated the 13th edition of Sofia Book Alley, held until September 14 along Sofia’s Vitosha Boulevard and the park in front of the National Palace of Culture.
He stressed that books shape imagination from an early age and that young readers are the future of Bulgaria’s cultural life. The Minister welcomed the wide offering of children’s literature and the participation of many new publishers, authors and translators.
According to Bachev, literature is both a personal and universal act of creativity that opens horizons, enriches our lives and connects us to different times and cultures. He described Sofia Book Alley as a cultural haven where new ideas and voices meet, supported once again by the Ministry of Culture.
