The Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) will host an exhibition titled “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Young People and Educators from China and Bulgaria”, along with a concurrent exhibition entitled “Wood. Boat – Contemporary Ink Painting by Zhu Jiangpu”. Both exhibitions are set to бе unveiled on August 18 at the UBA gallery in Sofia, the organizers said in a press release on Monday.

The exhibitions are organized by the Union of Bulgarian Artists, the China-Europe Association for Culture, Education, Sports and Investment, and the Shanghai International Cultural Exchange Association.

The organizing team highlighted that the exhibition features over 80 works created by young artists and educators from China and Bulgaria. The showcased art spans a wide range of styles, encompassing both traditional and contemporary expressions.

Visitors can expect to see a diverse array of Chinese art forms, including ink painting, wood carving, embroidery, lacquer painting, tie-dye, batik, as well as installations, digital art, and virtual reality (VR art).

Bulgarian participants will present works inspired by traditional textile and felt crafts, alongside contemporary artistic interpretations reflecting local cultural heritage.
