site.bta Actor Pavel Poppandov to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at Golden Linden Film Festival

Actor Pavel Poppandov will receive an award for lifetime contribution to cinema at the 12th edition of the Golden Linden Film Festival, the founder and director of the festival, film director Magdalena Ralcheva, told BTA.

The 2025 edition of the Golden Lime Film Festival will take place from May 31 to June 4.

"This is a name that needs no introduction - beloved, respected, with nearly 100 roles in cinema behind him. Pavel Poppandov is one of the emblematic figures of Bulgarian cinema, winner of a number of awards and a true star of the golden age of Bulgarian cinematography," said the festival director.

Today, Pavel Poppandov continues to star - both in cinema and in Bulgarian TV series, and has a strong presence on the theatrical stage. He is one of the founders of the Vazrazhdane Theatre in Sofia.

Poppandov's rich career in cinema and television numbers about 100 roles. His performances in some of the most beloved Bulgarian films remain unforgettable.

The actor was born on September 18, 1946 in Sofia. He graduated as an actor from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (1975). He has worked as a locksmith and a driver. He has been a member of the Union of Bulgarian Film Makers since 1979.
