The Simon & Garfunkel Story will be performed in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia on Monday. The show will run for two hours, including an intermission, the organizers, Sofia Music Enterprises (SME), said.
Featuring West End actors and musicians, The Simon & Garfunkel Story is the biggest and most successful theatrical production about the legendary folk rock duo Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, SME added.
"The show will take you back to the golden era of the 1960s. It traces the duo’s journey from their humble beginnings as Tom and Jerry, through their rise to fame, their dramatic split, and their epic reunion concert in Central Park in 1981. A visual and musical celebration with an impressive stage production. A large screen will show authentic photos and video footage from the 1960s. A live band will perform all the unforgettable hits, including Mrs. Robinson, Cecilia, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Homeward Bound, The Sound of Silence and many more," SME said.
"You can really believe the hype," British Theatre Guide says of the show. "As close to the original as you can get," The Daily Express says. Elaine Page for BBC Radio 2 describes it as "amazing", The Stage as "authentic and moving", and The Metro as "a real treat".
