A month of Bulgarian cinema will be held in London in June, the Budilnik media of Bulgarians in the UK reported. The programme features premiers of new Bulgarian films and guest visits by the most popular Bulgarian actors, screenwriters, and directors in London.

The screenings will take place in Genesis Cinema, starting on June 11 with Cannes Film Festival 2021 nominee Women Do Cry. Among the cast is Maria Bakalova, the only Bulgarian actress nominated for Oscar, BAFTA, and Golden Globe awards.

On June 17, Chalga will be screened for the fourth time with director Marian Valev and actress Dilyana Popova in attendance.

The Month of Bulgarian Cinema will end on June 25 with the premier of Block. To attend are director and screenwriter Todor Matsanov, Italian producer Franco Frattini, and actor Liubomir Neykov.
