The 3rd Sofia DocuMental Festival, which is on from September 19 to 28, announced six awards on Saturday.

The Best Project Presentation award went to Sunken (Greece), directed by Dimitris Gkotsis.

Elene Mikaberidze's Blueberry Dreams (a co-production of Georgia, France and Belgium) received the LightDocs Award.

The Czech Centre Award was given to They Took Our Names (Denmark/Bulgaria), directed by Aysel Kucuksu.

The Gods Must Be Mistaken (Slovenia/Germany), written and directed by Jakob Krese, took the DOK Leipzig Award.

Anna Nemes's Beauty of the Beast was distinguished with the Special Award.

Marusya Syroechkovskaya was singled out as Best Director for her film How to Save a Dead Friend (a co-production of Sweden, Norway, France and Germany).
