The New Vision International Group (NVIG) will present its conceptual object-posters at an exhibition entitled OBJECTively at the San Stefano Gallery in Sofia on February 11, the organizers reported.
The NVIG is comprised of Georgi Yankov, Dimitar Traychev, Lyuba Tomova, Milena Abanos, Nenko Atanasov, Nikolay Mladenov, Radoslava Boor, and Strahil Dimitrov - Radin. The project, conceived by Yankov, was brought to life thanks to Tomova who was the curator and with the support of the director of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin, Borislav Petranov.
Yankov said: "Since its creation in 2003, the NVIG logo has appeared on posters free from any commitment to a sponsor. They show only the artistic and moral positions of the authors. NVIG has quietly become a hallmark of loyalty to valuable art, free from opportunistic considerations. The Bulgarian poster-object has developed as an independent form of the author's poster."
