site.btaBTA’s LIK Magazine Reminds of Value of In-depth Knowledge - CC-DB Co-chair Denkov
In a Facebook Post on Sunday, Co-chair of Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria Nikolay Denkov wrote that the Bulgarian News Agency's LIK magazine was Bulgarians' only window to world literature, art, and culture when it first appeared 60 years ago. "Today, it reminds us of the value of in-depth knowledge – even more accessible to anyone who seeks it," he wrote.
His post was prompted by the BTA's exhibition "LIK at 60", unveiled in the National Assembly on December 3. Denkov also posted photos from the exhibition.
The exhibition is bilingual, in content in Bulgarian and in English. It features 24 panels showcasing key moments in the magazine’s development across its three distinct periods. During its first period (1965–1992), LIK was described as a “window to the world”; in its second period (1999–2013), it served as a “mirror of change”; and since its revival in 2022, it has been recognized as a “guardian of memory”.
