On Thursday, a cold front moving from west to east will bring mostly cloudy skies with cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds. Brief showers and thunderstorms are expected around and after noon in Western and Central Bulgaria, and in the evening in the eastern regions. Wind gusts will increase in some areas, and hail is possible.
Weather conditions will be more severe in mountainous regions and Northern Bulgaria. Light to moderate east-southeast winds will shift to west-northwest in Western Bulgaria by evening. Highs: 28C - 33C, Sofia around 29C.
The Black Sea coast: Scattered clouds, becoming mostly cloudy with increasing mid- and high-level cloud cover in the afternoon. Reduced visibility in some areas during the morning. Light to moderate east-southeasterly winds. Highs: 26C to 27C. Sea water temperature: 24-25C. Sea waves height: 2 to 3 degrees Douglas.
The mountains: The cloud cover will often be significant. Mainly over the mountain ranges of Western and Central Bulgaria, cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop, bringing brief but temporarily intense and heavy rainfall with thunderstorms. Moderate wind from the south-southwest. Highs around 23 C at 1,200 m, and around 16C at 2,000 m.
