Five students have been awarded the Bulgarian American Police Association (B.A.P.A.) 2026 Officer Vladimir Maleev Memorial Scholarship, B.A.P.A. reported on its Facebook page on Tuesday. The students are Niya Mincheva, Victoria Grigorova, Stella Ivanov, Nicholas Dobrev, and Darina Stoykova.

The Consulate General of Bulgaria in New York City congratulated the five students, as well as B.A.P.A. for their noble initiative in support of students of Bulgarian descent studying in the United States. Two of the students, Stoykova and Grigorova, were recently an intern and a volunteer, respectively, at the Bulgarian consular mission in New York, the diplomatic mission noted.
