site.btaGood Mountain Hiking Conditions on Sunday, Man Dies near Musala Peak on Saturday

A young man aged around 30 died on Saturday in the area of Musala Peak, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) with the Bulgarian Red Cross told BTA on Sunday. 

Yesterday, around 1 p.m., a report was received about a man who had fallen and was unconscious near Musala Peaks. A team from the Air Ambulance Center arrived at the scene by medical helicopter and confirmed the man's death. The mountain rescuers continued their efforts to recover the body until 8 p.m., MRS said.

Conditions for tourism in the mountains on Sunday are good. It is clear and sunny, with light to moderate winds in some places, MRS added.
