By decision of the Council of Ministers, a Six-Month Program outlining Bulgaria’s priority topics and dossiers during the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union (July 1 – December 31, 2025) has been adopted. The program serves as an operational document aimed at focusing Bulgaria’s efforts on defending national interests and positions on key issues included in the EU Council agenda during the six-month presidency.

The six-month program includes specific topics and legislative dossiers, along with the objectives Bulgaria seeks to achieve within various EU Council configurations, such as: General Affairs, Economic and Financial Affairs, Justice and Home Affairs, Agriculture and Fisheries, Transport and Energy,  Environment, Social Policy, Employment, and Health, Culture, Competitiveness

In total, the program identifies 40 legislative dossiers and topics that will be a priority for Bulgaria during the Danish Presidency. The country will work actively to safeguard its national interests in these areas over the six-month period.
