The name of the parliamentary group Democracy, Rights and Freedoms - DRF is changed to Alliance for Rights and Freedoms in view of the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of September 11, 2024. The change will be entered in the public register, National Assembly Chair Natalia Kiselova said at the beginning of Friday's plenary session.

On June 19, MPs adopted changes to the Rules of Organization and Procedure of the National Assembly regarding the names of parliamentary groups. The amendments stipulate that a parliamentary group’s name or abbreviation may no longer duplicate the name or abbreviation of another group, political party or coalition registered with the CEC for participation in the most recent elections, including by the addition of words, letters, numbers or other symbols.
