In connection with the protest scheduled for Saturday, June 28, in Belgrade, which is expected to be attended by a significant number of citizens from all over Serbia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued recommendations to Bulgarian citizens. Bulgarian citizens temporarily or permanently residing in Serbia are advised to travel to the Serbian capital only if necessary during the specified period, to avoid passing through areas with large crowds, to follow the instructions of the local authorities and to strictly adhere to them. This was stated in a message on the Foreign Ministry’s website on Thursday.
Roadblocks are possible both in the capital and in other parts of the country, including on the E-75 international road, without prior notice or expected duration, the Ministry added.
Earlier in the day, protesting representatives of the academic community in Serbia, who had blocked the intersection in front of the government building in Belgrade, lifted the blockade. This ended the 17-day “Faculties at the Crossroads” campaign, and traffic in this part of the city has returned to normal, according to the Serbian edition of regional television station N1.
