The Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy in Varna is home to 423 foreign students from 23 countries, of which 281 are from European Union countries, the Academy said on Friday. The foreign students come from a total of three continents, namely Europe, Asia and Africa.

The largest number of students come from Greece, Romania, Cyprus, as well as Germany, Spain, Italy, Hungary, and Austria. Outside the EU, the largest number of foreign students are from Ukraine, Georgia, and Angola.
