Vazrazhdane supporters and citizens gathered in front of the GERB headquarters in Sofia on Thursday for a protest demanding to preserve the Bulgarian lev and reject the euro. There is an increased police presence in the area.

Vazrazhdane said the protest was organised at this location so that people could express their “violent discontent against GERB and the forced adoption of the euro”. Speakers urged people to enter GERB headquarters. People were chanting “Resign” and “No to the euro”.

Vazrazhdane Floor Leader Kostadin Kostadinov called people to a short march to the entrance to the headquarters of bTV. After the protest moved to the entrance of the TV station, several smoke bombs were lit. "It is high time that this anti-national television sees the real Bulgarian people and that the people in the squares are not made up," Kostadinov said.
