Many imbalances have accumulated in the remuneration of labour in healthcare over the years, "they are currently being revealed to varying degrees in individual specialties,” Health Minister Silvi Kirilov told BTA on Tuesday.
The Health Minister attended a scientific conference "Proud to Provide Emergency Medical Care", which marked International Emergency Medicine Day.
“Everyone has the right to protest, I justify and support it,” the Minister said commenting on the protest of medics held around the country on May 26. “We are trying to systematically work on this problem, but it has a long history and cannot be solved with a magic wand, and the efforts of more than one institution are needed, not only the Health Ministry,” Kirilov added. “We are working on the issue, but we will not be able to solve the problem in a week or two,” he also said and assured that the work is being done systematically, and he believes it will be successful.
Asked about a possible new collective bargaining agreement in the healthcare sector, Minister Kirilov replied that one meeting had been held, and the next meeting would probably be held at the end of this or the beginning of next month and "we will intensify this activity a little."
