National Assembly Chair to Take Part in Atoms for Peace - Green Planet Initiative on Chernobyl Anniversary

National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova will take part in the Atoms for Peace - Green Planet initiative on Tuesday to mark the anniversary of the 1986 Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant accident, the National Assembly said in a press release.

The event is organised by the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, in partnership with the Institute of Solid State Physics, the Institute of Electronics, the Central Laboratory for Solar Energy and New Energy Sources, and the State Enterprise Radioactive Waste.

The programme starts at 10 a.m. and includes men and women’s 60 m and 100 m sprints, tree and flower planting, and a parade of vintage vehicles.
