The release of the two Bulgarian sailors was a top priority for us and a message to all Bulgarians that they will not be abandoned wherever they are in the world, said MEP Elena Yoncheva, who has been in Muscat, Oman for three days. "This was a huge bet for all of us - their release, but also a strong message to all Bulgarian citizens that they will never be abandoned when they are in trouble anywhere in the world, regardless of the political situation", she stressed.
