site.btaElectric Bicycles for Rent Are Now Available in Burgas

A total of 125 electric bicycles will be available for rent to residents and tourists in Burgas from mid-April, said the press center of Burgas Municipality on Wednesday. Users will be charged BGN 2.00 per hour.

Renting the bicycles will be possible through the Burgas Bikes mobile application, which was developed by a telecommunications company in Bulgaria on a commission from the Burgas Municipality. Available bicycles will be marked on the map in the mobile app and users will be able to book one that is conveniently located. Payment will be by debit or credit card. 

The bicycles will be placed at a dozen locations in different parts of the city and are to be returned to any of these sites. The places will be marked clearly and accurately in the app in order to avoid them being left indiscriminately in different places in the city.

The new service aims to encourage the use of alternative ways of getting around the city and reduce the use of cars to limit air pollution and harmful emissions.
