Bulgarian President Rumen Radev will confer the Order of the Madara Horseman, First Class, on Argentina's Ambassador Alfredo Nestor Atanasoff on Monday, Radev's press secretariat said. The distinction is awarded for the diplomat's contribution to the development of Bulgaria-Argentina relations.

In February, Ambassador Atanasoff said his country was planning to create an economic hub in Bulgaria, which could provide Argentinian businesses with access to the countries of Europe and the Balkans. According to the diplomat, Bulgaria has the potential to become one of Argentina's strong partners in Europe.
