Minister of Education and Science Prof. Galin Tsokov will attend the official presentation of the OECD Skills Strategy Bulgaria: Assessment and Recommendations report, said the Ministry of Education and Science press centre.

On April 21, 2022, the Ministry of Education and Science said that young people in Bulgaria are improving their skills, and that according to this indicator, this country is in the top 20% of 14 EU countries, as indicated by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) based on data from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA).

According to the results, the level of improvement of Bulgarian youth's skills is not inferior to that of their peers in Estonia, Poland, Portugal and Romania. This indicatior is also high in Germany, Latvia, Slovenia. The rate of improvement of young people's skills is low in Hungary, Czechia, Finland, Slovakia and Sweden. Bulgaria is also in the top 20% according to another indicator - the quality of inclusive education for the elderly, with levels close to those of Germany and Hungary, the Ministry of Education informed at the time.
