President Rumen Radev will represent Bulgaria at the European Council. The meeting will take place Thursday and Friday in Brussels, the head of State's press secretariat said.

The meeting will focus on Russia's ongoing war against Ukraine, boosting Europe's competitiveness and manufacturing, energy challenges, migration pressure and other topics on the European Union's agenda.

On Tuesday, President Rumen Radev held a videoconference call with President of the European Parliament Charles Michel to discuss the energy crisis and migration pressure.
