The Constitutional Court will hold a sitting on Case No. 3 of 2026 in connection with President Rumen Radev's resignation on Friday morning. Judge Pavlina Panova is rapporteur in the case.

Under the Constitutional Court Act, the sessions of the Court are held without the participation of the interested parties, except in cases expressly specified by this law, as well as when the court decides otherwise.

Also on Friday, Radev will leave the President's Administration building at 4 p.m., the head of State's press secretariat said Thursday. He will be seen off at the main entrance of the institution by Vice President Iliana Iotova, who will take over as President after the Constitutional Court's ruling.

Rumen Radev tendered his resignation as head of State to the Constitutional Court on January 20, a day after he announced his decision in an address to the nation. He is the first Bulgarian president to resign.
