Deputy Chairs of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Iskra Mihaylova-Koparova and Stanislav Anastasov met with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Eastern Europe and Policy and Regional Affairs Chris Smith on Monday, MRF’s press service said.
The talks focused on ways to strengthen the partnership between Bulgaria and the United States and on areas for joint work to improve people’s lives.
The MRF press service said that the movement highly appreciates the very constructive discussion and exchange of views on how Bulgaria and the United States can deepen their partnership and expand cooperation in various areas to improve the lives of their citizens. According to them, a key mission and responsibility of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms is to care for Bulgarian citizens and work for their prosperity, in line with Bulgaria’s commitments within NATO and its partnership with the United States.
The MRF press service emphasized that the movement understands and values the importance of the Strategic Dialogue between the two countries and fully supports the Bulgarian government’s efforts to develop future cooperation with the US. Monday’s meeting and discussion were described as an important step towards further strengthening the partnership.
