A student from the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy in Sliven was awarded two gold medals from the Best Student 2025 International Competition in Astana, Kazakhstan, on August 25, the Sliven Municipality said on Monday.

Andon Atanasov is simultaneously studying the Preschool and Primary School Pedagogy masters specialty as well as the Pedagogy of Teaching Mathematics, Physics and Informatics masters specialty, is an example of a young person who is not afraid to dream high and persistently go towards his goal, the Municipality emphasized. "His distinction is not just a personal success, it is a sign of the power of education, the spirit of the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy in Sliven and the mission of every true awakener", it pointed out.

The competition, which is organized by the Endless Light in Science International Research Centre, aims to recognize young people who carry within themselves the spirit of the discoverer and the awakener. "Those who learn, seek the meaning of knowledge and turn it into action", the Sliven Municipality noted.
