In a telephone conversation with Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel, North Macedonia Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani congratulated her on her election to the post and expressed readiness "to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the spirit of good-neighbourly relations and European values, and in the interest of the citizens of the two countries".

During the talks, the importance of the continuation of political dialogue, the intensification of inter-ministerial cooperation and the full implementation of the Treaty of Friendship, Good-Neighbourliness and Cooperation, as well as the Protocol of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission, was stressed, North Macedonia's Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
