Lambe Alabakovski, who was given a suspended sentence for the arson of the Ivan Mihaylov Cultural Centre in Bitola, said he was happy and joyful about what he had done, the Press 24 website reported Friday. Alabakovski made the statement on Bombakis podcast.

"It was the culmination of all the patriotic feelings we all have but don't express. Or we express them in different ways. It's a rush of emotions. From today's standpoint, I'm very happy with what I did, because ultimately, after all this time, it all came out in favour of our nation. Nobody has the right to provoke you in your own house and give you ultimatums," Alabakovsky said.

In June, Alabakovski was arrested for the arson of the Ivan Mihaylov Cultural Centre in Bitola and received the lowest sentence - six months suspended.

Alabakovski also appeared as a spokesperson at the protests against the negotiating framework that the opposition organized in the summer of 2022, and after amendments to the Law on Foundations and Associations were adopted, the Ivan Mihaylov Association in Bitola was deleted from the Central Registry.
