This year, BTA once again has its own national press club at the Book Alley in Sofia. The BTA stand is located in tent 44, in the park in front of the National Palace of Culture (NDK).

The stand presents the latest issues of LIK magazine, as well as anniversary editions related to the history of BTA.

The 13th edition of the Book Alley opened in Sofia on Monday. It will run until September 14 along Vitosha Boulevard and in the park in front of the NDK.

The exhibition features 150 participants, publishers located in 61 tents, and over 200 cultural events related to meetings with authors, children's games, film screenings, and premieres.

During the opening ceremony, Minister of Culture Marian Bachev noted that a reader is someone who opens windows to the world. He reminded everyone that the Ministry of Culture is once again among the sponsors of this event.

“I am very happy that so many children's books are on offer, because our youngest readers are the ones who will become mature readers, the ones who will add value to their lives and ours,” said Bachev.

There are currently 43 national press clubs of the BTA. Of these, 27 are located in the regional cities of Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Burgas, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Vidin, Vratsa, Gabrovo, Dobrich, Kardzhali, Kyustendil, Lovech, Montana, Pazardzhik, Pernik, Pleven, Plovdiv, Razgrad, Ruse, Silistra, Sliven, Smolyan, Stara Zagora, Targovishte, Haskovo, Shumen, and Yambol. There are six in the non-regional cities of Gotse Delchev, Kazanlak, Petrich, Samokov, Svishtov, and Troyan. There are eight outside the country—in Ankara (Turkiye), Belgrade (Serbia), Bosilegrad (Serbia), Bucharest (Romania), Odesa (Ukraine), Skopje (Republic of North Macedonia), and Taraclia (Moldova), and at the Bulgarian base on Livingston Island in Antarctica. Two of the press clubs are temporary, one on board the first Bulgarian military research vesselSv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii and at one present at book fairs.
