Continue the Change Chair Assen Vassilev said that the attack on Senior Commissioner Nikolay Kozhuharov in Ruse demonstrates the complete collapse of the entire justice system in the country. Speaking to journalists in Parliament on Friday, he argued that "this demonstrates the inability of the police to protect even themselves, let alone protect citizens."

"On the other hand, it shows that when organized crime is revered and no measures are taken to maintain order in the country, eighth-graders start beating up police chiefs," Vassilev added. He said that it is not normal for eighth graders to beat up a police chief, neither for the eighth graders nor for the police chief.
