site.btaPatriarch Daniil Consecrates New Kindergarten in Kostinbrod

Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia, Daniil, consecrated a new kindergarten in Kostinbrod. In his remarks he emphasized the importance of instilling virtues from an early age. The service was also attended by Bishop Ioan of Branitsa.

In his address, Patriarch Daniil highlighted the good cooperation with the government in the areas of education. “This gives us hope that the children of Bulgaria will not grow up with that rejection and nihilism so characteristic of several generations,” he stated.

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and Education Minister Krasimir Valchev were present at the opening, along with Kostinbrod Mayor Trayko Mladenov, Regional Department of Education head Rositsa Ivanova, members of parliament, deputy ministers, municipal councilors, and representatives of the Kostinbrod Municipality. Among those attending was also Major General Emil Tonev, head of the National Security Service.

The newly opened kindergarten will accommodate a total of 128 children.
