site.btaNew Bulgarian Contingent with KFOR Regional Command-West Arrives in Kosovo


A new Bulgarian contingent with the Kosovo Force (KFOR) Regional Command-West (RC-W) was welcomed during an official ceremony at Camp Villaggio Italia, located near Peja in the western part of Kosovo, on Monday, the Bulgarian Embassy in Pristina reported on Tuesday.
The Commander of RC-W, Colonel Lorenzo Mangia, presided over the ceremony. Representing Bulgaria were Minister Plenipotentiary Dimitar Manchev, Lieutenant Colonel Hristo Vassilev, national commander of the Bulgarian military contingent in Kosovo, and officers from the RC-W headquarters.
Bulgarian Ambassador Hristo Kraevski said during the ceremony: "Serving the cause of peace, security, and stability in the region is not just a duty but an invaluable contribution to future generations. Especially in times of unprecedented challenges and trials for Europe and the world."
The former Chief of Staff of RC-W, Lieutenant Colonel Biser Hristov, handed over the national flag to the new Chief of Staff, Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Komitov.
