The newly established Association of Bulgarian Cultural Organizations Abroad held its Constituent Assembly on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad (EABA) in Sofia, the Agency said. The event was attended by representatives of 26 cultural organizations operating abroad, as well as five individual cultural figures.
Snezhana Galcheva, head of the Confederation of Bulgarian Cultural Organizations and Activists Abroad, was elected to chair the constituent meeting.
During the assembly, the chart of the newly established Association was adopted. Proposals were also made to establish an Ethics Committee. The chairperson of the Association will be elected at the first upcoming meeting of its Management Board.
The attending representatives of the cultural organizations abroad elected a nine-member Management Board by vote. The members are: Diana Hristova (Spain), Dimitrinka Ivanova-Comanducci (Italy), Mira Kopanarov (Canada), Snezhana Galcheva (USA), Vesela Raychinova-Selli (Israel), Boycho Damyanov (Austria), Irina Gancheva-Chursa (Ukraine), Sabina Hristova (Germany), and Gergana Hristova (Italy).
