Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC) President Vesela Lecheva held a working meeting with the President of the European Olympic Committees (EOC), Spyros Capralos, in Skopje, North Macedonia. Lecheva was joined by members of the BOC Executive Bureau Slavi Binev and Volodya Zlatev, as well as the organization's Secretary General, Danail Dimov. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the official opening of the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) on Monday.
During the conversation, Capralos and the Bulgarian delegation discussed a range of topics: the ongoing tournament in the capital of North Macedonia, preparations for the upcoming Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo in February 2026, and current developments within the Bulgarian Olympic Committee itself. The dialogue between Lecheva and Capralos is expected to continue in the coming months, with the EOC President reiterating the importance of strict adherence to the guidelines of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) concerning the governance of the BOC.
On Monday, the Bulgarian officials also presented a special award to Daniel Dimevski, EYOF Organizing Committee Chair in Skopje, expressing their appreciation for the successful organization of the event.
A total of 34 Bulgarian athletes are participating in the competition.
