National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova will take part in a Parliamentary Assembly session of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) in Albania on Tuesday as part of a working visit to the country, the parliament's press centre said. Bulgaria will take over the presidency of the organization for one year.

Kiselova will meet with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Albania Elisa Spiropali and Albanian President Bajram Begaj.

The Bulgarian parliamentary delegation includes Denitsa Nikolova (GERB-UDF), Dzhem Yamenov (MRF-New Beginning) and Alexander Rashev (There is Such a Nation"), as well as the chairman of the Bulgaria-Albania Friendship Group Hristo Terziyski (GERB-UDF).

Bulgaria will take over SEEPC’s rotating for the period 1 July 2025 - 30 June 2026, Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev announced in January at a meeting with European Commissioner for Start-ups, Research and Innovation Ekaterina Zaharieva.

The SEECP is the leading policy framework for regional cooperation and the main regional platform for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkans. Bulgaria fully supports the basic principles of participation of all the countries of the region, regional engagement and regional leadership in the activities of the SEECP and the Regional Cooperation Council, the Foreign Ministry website states.
