site.bta93 Foreign Students Enrolled at Agricultural University – Plovdiv, 41 of Them from EU Countries

A total of 93 foreign students are currently enrolled at the Agricultural University – Plovdiv, with 41 coming from European Union Member States, the University’s press office told BTA. The total includes bachelor’s, master’s, and students enrolled in a 10-month preparatory Bulgarian language course for the academic year 2024–2025.

The largest number of foreign students comes from Greece (28) and Ukraine (23), but the university also hosts students from 20 other countries, including Uganda, Nepal, Pakistan, India, France, and Costa Rica. There are six students from South Africa, four from Italy, and three from China.

There are two students each from the United Kingdom, Turkiye, the Netherlands, Latvia, and Mongolia. Additionally, one student comes from each of the following countries: Moldova, Romania, the Czech Republic, Poland, Portugal, France, India, Pakistan, Uganda, and Nepal.

Nine students are currently studying Bulgarian language for 10 months at the university's Department of Language Preparation. They are from Turkiye, Greece, Costa Rica, Ukraine, and China.
