site.btaPresident Iotova to Attend Regional Security Conference in Sofia

President Iliana Iotova will participate in a conference, titled “Towards Shared Regional Security for Peace, Stability, and Cooperation in the Balkans and the Black Sea,” organized by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the Institute for Economics and International Relations on Monday. During the discussion, participants will address the need to strengthen Europe’s defence preparedness by 2030 and accelerate work on a comprehensive analysis of threats facing the European Union.

The event is being held in connection with Bulgaria’s presidency of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP). On June 10, 2026, President Iliana Iotova will host the SEECP Summit, which will mark the 30th anniversary of the initiative’s establishment.
