site.btaBulgarian Ground Module Joins Firefighting Efforts in Spain
The Bulgarian module for ground extinguishing of forest fires is assisting the Spanish authorities in combating wildfires in Spain, the Fire Safety and Civil Protection General Directorate said on its Facebook profile on Wednesday.
The team joined efforts to contain a wildfire in the area of the village of Toiriz, close to residential homes.
The Bulgarian module has been deployed to Spain under the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism and is scheduled to return to Bulgaria on July 31.
