Bulgaria's Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev and Japan's Ambassador to Bulgaria Hisashi Michigami met here to discuss the political dialogue between the two countries and opportunities for further development and upgrading of bilateral relations in areas such as trade and investment cooperation, education, science and technology, energy, tourism, and culture, the Foreign Ministry reported on Wednesday.

The diplomats also discussed the ongoing 2025 World Expo in Osaka. Georgiev congratulated the Ambassador on the forum's successful launch and shared his expectations that Bulgaria's participation will provide new opportunities for the development of economic cooperation.
