Despite ongoing attempts at political destabilization, the governing coalition remains stable, the BSP – United Left parliamentary group declared through its floor leader, Dragomir Stoynev. Speaking from the parliamentary rostrum, Stoynev emphasized that with collective effort, "we can tip the scales toward normalcy, calm public sentiment, and restore a functioning political process". He also urged for more substantive debate and greater political maturity.
Stoynev directed his message primarily to opposition parties, but also to the governing partners, reminding them of the critical state the country was in just months ago. He called for reflection on the path that led to the formation of the current government and the current power balance in the National Assembly.
The BSP – United Left’s declaration said that the opposition is aware it lacks the capacity to offer a viable alternative. Nevertheless, the party urged the opposition to contribute to the preservation of statehood and the stabilization of the country’s social and economic systems, even while engaging in political contest.
Key areas identified as priorities in the declaration include social stability, energy security, and economic resilience.
