Slovenian President to Pay Official Visit to Bulgaria

President of Slovenia Natasa Pirc Musar will pay an official visit to Bulgaria from February 26 to 28 at the invitation of her Bulgarian counterpart Rumen Radev, the President's Press Secretariat reported Monday. She will be accompanied by a business delegation.

The sides will discuss the options for broadening the bilateral partnership in the fields of economy, investment, tourism, energy, innovation, scientific research exchange, and culture as well as current topics on the European and regional agenda. Guaranteeing stability and supporting the Western Balkan countries' EU integration will also be discussed.

The Presidents of Bulgaria and Slovenia will hold a tete-a-tete meeting, followed by plenary talks between the official delegations and a joint news briefing.

The two heads of State will unveil a Bulgarian-Slovenian business forum in Sofia, organized by the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency in partnership with the SPIRIT Slovenia Business Development Agency. The event is aimed at promoting contacts between companies from the two countries and researching opportunities for increasing the bilateral trade and promoting joint trade and investment.

The Slovenian President is also scheduled to hold meetings with the Prime Minister and the National Assembly Chairman and to visit Plovdiv (South Central Bulgaria).

On the eve of her visit to Bulgaria, President Natasa Pirc Musar gave a written interview to BTA.
