Lora Hristova won a gold medal and Valentina Dimitrova finished third in the 6 km sprint at the World Summer Biathlon Championships in Brezno-Orsbile, Slovakia.
Another Bulgarian athlete - Stefani Yolova, took ninth place and thus secured her place in the top 10.
Hristova finished the 6km race in 17:00.6 minutes and made only one shooting error. Slovak biathlete Emma Kapustova, who also missed a target, was second, a full 26.2 seconds behind. Dimitrova's achievement was identical, but she finished 45.3 seconds behind her compatriot.
Stefani Yolova made one mistake in both shootings and was ranked ninth at 1:31.9 minutes behind Hristova.
