In the second quarter of 2023, Bulgarian gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 1.8% compared to the second quarter of 2022, while gross value added grew by 1.9%, according to the National Statistical Institute's (NSI) latest estimates. In the second quarter of 2023, GDP grew by 0.4% on a seasonally adjusted basis compared with the previous quarter. Gross added value also grew by 0.4%.

According to the NSI's estimates for the second quarter of 2023, GDP in nominal terms reaches BGN 40,959.5 million. The gross added value in the second quarter of 2023 is BGN 35,946.2 million.

In the first quarter of 2023, the added value is EUR 2.5 billion. GDP increased by 2% compared to the first quarter of the 2022, and gross added value - by 2.2%, according to NSI estimates.
