Bulgaria will participate in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development Programme for Ukraine. The programme, which was officially announced during the annual ministerial meeting of the OECD, held on June 7-8, 2023 in Paris, aims to support the efforts of the Ukrainian side in the reform process on its way to EU and OECD membership.

The activities and measures set out in the programme amount to a total of EUR 16.5 million over its four-year period. It is foreseen to be financed entirely by voluntary contributions from OECD member countries, candidate countries and partners. Bulgaria will participate in the programme with a voluntary financial contribution of EUR 60,000. The funding will be provided from the budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Bulgaria's participation in the OECD Programme for Ukraine will be a further confirmation of Bulgaria's strong commitment to supporting Ukraine's recovery and economic development. In addition, Bulgaria's closer involvement in OECD programmes and initiatives will also contribute to the process of Bulgaria's accession to the Organization - a key Bulgarian foreign policy priority.
